DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF FRANK MANN BY DONORS TO THE FRANK MANN MEMORIAL FUND
The late Frank Mann grew up and lived his life with Fort Myers Community Concerts as he and his brother George, Jr. “Pat” were at the very first performances, acted as teenage stage hands and later both joined the Board of Directors. Frank was a successful local businessman who turned to public service and spent the majority of his adult years in elected or appointed office. He served in the Florida House of Representatives, the Florida State Senate, Lee Memorial Hospital Board, SWFL Water Management District Board and over 16 years on the Lee County Commission. Protecting and enhancing all aspects of the quality of life for this area where he was born and that he called paradise, whether environmental or artistic was always his chief goal. So it was no surprise that one of his many accomplishments while in the state legislature was the construction of the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, named for his mother, who had inspired his love of music. His life ended June 21, 2022, but his legacy of selfless service, zest for living and love of the arts will live on. Even so, we will still miss his rousing “Bravos” offered up so enthusiastically at each performance.
